PHT members earn awards

The PHT Claims Coordinator Workshop was held on June 22 at TRA GSC in Columbia, with 21 participants from 12 Trust member facilities in attendance. At the workshop, PHT Annual Transitional Duty Awards were presented, to the Palmetto Hospital Trust member with the highest ratio of transitional duty days compared to lost work days, a measure of the effectiveness of the hospital’s return to work program, in each of four peer groups, as follows:
  • Spartanburg Medical Center, in the category of Hospitals w/501 Beds or Greater

  • The Regional Medical Center, in the category of Hospitals w/101 - 500 Beds

  • AnMed Health Cannon and Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, in the category of Hospitals w/100 Beds or Fewer

  • Mountainview Nursing Home, in the category of Long-Term Care/Long-Term Acute Care Organizations
In addition, the following PHT members were recognized for timely claims reporting during 2017:

During the 3rd Annual PHT Worker Safety Symposium, held in Charleston on May 17 & 18, 2018, PHT Annual Slip, Trip, Fall Prevention Awards were presented to AnMed Health, Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Lexington-Richland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council, Mountainview Nursing Home, and Self Regional Healthcare. This award is given annually to Palmetto Hospital Trust members which meet criteria related to the slip/trip/fall occurrence rate and also achieve a threshold score on the slips/trip/fall risk reduction objective. Each winner received $5,000 for their achievement.

The PHT Annual Safety Awards were also presented at this time, to the Palmetto Hospital Trust member with the lowest loss ratio in each of seven peer groups, as follows:
  • AnMed Health, in the category of Hospitals w/501 Beds or Greater

  • Self Regional Healthcare, in the category of Hospitals w/101 - 500 Beds

  • Fairfield Memorial Hospital, in the category of Hospitals w/100 Beds or Fewer

  • Lexington-Richland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council, in the category of Disabilities & Special Needs Organizations

  • Mountainview Nursing Home, in the category of Long-Term Care/Long-Term Acute Care Organizations

  • Edisto Regional Health Services, Inc., in the category of Physician Practice Organizations

  • South Carolina Hospital Association, in the category of Other Organizations
